Marie Antoinette from Humble Quilts

I have been intrigued with this French General panel of Marie Antoinette, Queen of France, since I've seen it.
I finally just purchased it.

I have no plan at this time, it was just charming and quirky and I had to have it!!

Home Sweet Home from Humble Quilts

Here's a "on again, off again" quilt I'm slowly working on. The blocks measure 5x7.

These were the newest ones I made and added to the blocks I had previously made.

I have a little collection of French General fabrics that I love. You may recall the string basket medallion is made from the same tote of FG!

Have a lovely weekend, friends!

A Basket Case from Humble Quilts

I've got some more houses cut and managed one more little one to add to my collection.

I had some French General strips and decided to use it as a border for the string basket. I'm planning on adding to it just not quite sure what. I'm on the road teaching string quilting so maybe I'll get more inspiration for this basket.  Any ideas or suggestions are welcome!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Thank you to those who have signed up for my online class! You will get the pattern and Zoom info in the next couple of days.

If you want to sign up ...

Missouri Star Shop Feature: Mercantile from The Cutting Table Quilt Blog - A Blog for Quilters by Quilters

As a woman in the modern world, my femininity sometimes craves the more elegant, lady-like ways of the past. I would love to enjoy a Friday night dinner in a nice evening gown or stroll into my local grocery store in a long Victorian dress without being given strange looks.

However, there are things I wouldn’t want to endure from those times like wearing cages to keep my dress looking fluffed and tight corsets that crush my ribs. No, thank you.

So I don’t want to live in the past ALL the time, but when I do, I ...
